Pull up a chair
take a moment to breathe
and consider
God Who is present everywhere.
His eye is on the sparrow.
and His eye is on me and you.
God is here. Wherever we are, God is here. There is no place, there can be no place, where He is not. ... The presence [of God] and the manifestation [of God] are not the same. There can be the one without the other. God is here when we are wholly unaware of it. He is manifest only when and as we are aware of His presence. On our part, there must be surrender to the Spirit of God, for His work is to show us the Father and the Son. If we cooperate with Him in loving obedience, God will manifest Himself to us, and that manifestation will be the difference between a nominal Christian life and a life radiant with the light of His face. ... Our pursuit of God is successful just because He is forever seeking to manifest Himself to us.
I sit still and ponder the presence of God and the love of God and what it means to surrender to Him fully, not with a divided heart. I pray to cooperate with His Spirit in loving obedience. Moses' face shone becaue God was present with him and spoke with him as a man speaks with his friend face to face. We have more than Moses. We are walking tabernacles of His Spirit. He has chosen to dwell not only all around us, but within us. I still. I am barefoot because this is holy ground --~ A.W. Tozer ~ The Pursuit of God
all the earth is Holy ground.
Surely the Lord is in this place.
Linking up with Still Saturday and The Sunday Community for some sweet Sabbath reflections.
