The thing I love about KnowItAll is that I downloaded these to a DVD and will watch these on the television. Anyway, really, I am excited to see how this week will go- this is a great addition to change up our weeks but an easy addition. Thanks again Patty.Hayleynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3345217407843497124.post-47963949476674601552014-10-27T06:58:40.964-07:002014-10-27T06:58:40.964-07:00Hayley,

We are using both of these to review and increase Spanish learning this year. I love free and low-cost options like these!HeartsHomewardnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3345217407843497124.post-71774075873250283902014-10-26T22:15:48.949-07:002014-10-26T22:15:48.949-07:00Hi Patty,

This really is a perfect way for me to just introduce it easily. Patty, I can't thank you enough. This really will be a fun, easy way to just introduce foreign language casually without any time spent for me in preparing {read: added pressure}. Thanks again, Patty, so very much!Hayleynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3345217407843497124.post-18836234355451191432014-10-14T19:36:12.349-07:002014-10-14T19:36:12.349-07:00Hayley,

I think you can wait til summer of next year to start formally, but in the meantime if you throw in a bit of the Knowitall.org videos and even use the free app, Duolingo for your older two you will be giving them a leap. Just this week I was going to serve the boys the last of an apple strudel we had baked and they asked if they could please have vanilla ice cream with it. I said, "Oh, that's the German way," to which my 5yo replied, "Danka! I'm Deutch!" He doesn't speak it fluently, but enough to be cute ... and to have a fun feel for the language and for language learning in general and he has a hunger for more (not just more strudel!). I'm always glad when you come read a post, Hayley. Thanks for letting me know you were here :)HeartsHomewardnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3345217407843497124.post-6426999446687288482014-10-13T20:45:59.535-07:002014-10-13T20:45:59.535-07:00Hi Patty, I just am getting around to reading this...Hi Patty, I just am getting around to reading this blog post. I decided this week to not introduce a foreign language this year as it just feels too much. But after reading your post, it's made me undecided. My children are all young {6, 5, 3 1/2, 2} and I really would like to wait until summer of next year to start. But from your post it seems like I should push through my procrastination and just start, for the sake of the children. Thank you for encouraging me and changing my mind. Ha, you didn't even know it!Hayleynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3345217407843497124.post-23792584796144612232014-09-23T03:21:43.975-07:002014-09-23T03:21:43.975-07:00Elizabeth,

I'll have to check out Pinsleur sometime. Latin is such goodness. My parents went to Latin mass too. :)HeartsHomewardnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3345217407843497124.post-14374875437115285062014-09-22T21:53:30.821-07:002014-09-22T21:53:30.821-07:00Yet another excellent post! As I embark on this journey,,,, i have been playing Pinsleur's Italian cd's,,,,,,,,,,,,, morning, noon, and night and praying something sticks in one or all of our heads (preferably before Saturday!) :) I do love their repetition (as well as Pinsleur's Amazon price!). I am looking forward to learning some Latin and taking my kids to Latin mass (and learning about the Latin mass my parents grew up with along with my kids) if such a thing remains in this town :) <br />I have loved this series! Thank you for sharing!Elizabeth Haber-Lopeznoreply@blogger.com
